On the Tyme server we have had issues lately where partitions would randomly become read-only. We had thought the issue resolved because it didn’t present itself for 2 weeks, but it has started again and is affecting the server multiple times a day. Because of the frequency of this, we are concerned about the health of the hard drive and will be replacing it before it results in data loss.

The hard drive that is failing is the main drive which includes the OS, cPanel, and all the major partitions. This does not include the /home directory. We will be making preparations tonight, including backups, to restore the sites. If you have data that will change between tonight and tomorrow night, please make your own backups no later than 1 hour before the server is scheduled to be taken down.

If your account generates revenue or is of great importance and must be up right away, please contact support and let us know your domain name and username. We will make sure that account is one of the first to be restored so you can get back to business ASAP.

To to the raise in the domain prices at the registrar we will be updating our domain registration and renewal prices. Domains with the .com/.net/.org extension will now be $9.49 via our Registry Rocket reseller and $10.49 via our online ordering system. This change has already taken effect with Registry Rocket (as of Oct 29, 2007) and will soon take effect with our online ordering system (Nov 1, 2007).

On Saturday, November 3 starting at 7 p.m. PDT (Sunday, November 4 at 2 a.m. UTC) we will be conducting maintenance on our database and datacenter resulting in following sites and services being unavailable:

- eNom API
- eNom.com
- All PDQ sites
- All RegistryRocket sites
- Communication with the registry affecting new registrations, renewals, transfers

The following services will not be affected and will continue to be fully operational:

- DNS will resolve normally
- All web hosting services will connect normally
- Email will send and receive normally
- Email forwarding and site redirection will operate normally
